"In 2016, I was a few months into my first job as a youth pastor. Even though I had been in youth ministry my whole life, I felt like I was learning everything on the fly. I was learning how to plan events, where to find sermon resources, and I was even learning the latest slang words that teenagers use. 

One thing that I learned early on was that teenagers longed and yearned to know what God's will is. I heard students express on multiple occasions that they wish God would just come down from Heaven and tell them what to do in their current situation. In response to this, I put together a sermon series titled, "What Would Jesus Do?" The goal of the series was to help students understand that we can turn to God's Word to learn his will, because God did come to Earth. Jesus is God, he came from Heaven to Earth, and he left us an example that we should follow in his steps (1 Peter 2:21).

While preaching through the sermon series, I realized that asking what Jesus would do isn't the question we were seeking an answer for. We were seeking an answer for what Jesus did. Learning to live a holy life that is pleasing to God isn't a mystery. We have free and easy access to God's Word and we can learn the best way to navigate through tricky circumstances in life from Jesus himself! 

That's how the idea for this book was birthed. I hope it's a blessing to you and more importantly, I hope your love for Christ grows as a result of reading it!"
